THE FLAGSHIP PROJECTS
1) Zero non-biodegradable pouch
For us, it was a matter of raising national awareness in 2017 about the health and environmental consequences of non-biodegradable plastic bags; and promote the use of biodegradable packaging.
Our lobbying and that of other sister organizations contributed to the vote by the Beninese parliament of Law No. 2017-39 of December 26, 2017, which prohibits the production, importation, marketing, detention, distribution and use of degradable non-organic plastic bags in the Republic of Benin.
2) Operation does not throw away (February 2019)
The road is not a garbage can; The gutters are not dumps!
It was with this slogan that this Saturday, February 2019, was launched the giant campaign to clean up the edge of the Godomey interchange, which until then had been shining with a monster unsanitary conditions.
With the effective support of the borough chief of Godomey and the technical support of the town hall of Abomey-calavi; the faith team reinforced by the Miss Godomey Committee, the Red Cross and the local women's association joined the act by making the area around the exchanger clean.
Phase 2 of this memorable operation called "don't throw away" was to raise awareness among the surrounding populations and the good ladies of Godomey Market about good eco-citizenship practices.
Several media outlets have also been used to educate our people about the cleanliness of our roads and the culture of hygiene and cleanliness. A plea has also been made to local and administrative authorities to ensure that our cities are equipped with public garbage cans.
– Awareness for high-safety seasonal campaigns in both public and private administrations
-awareness for the remediation of flood-covered areas especially in rainy seasons.
